This Melbourne MicroCert explores contemporary debates on this topic and equips leaders and aspiring leaders within early childhood education and care with research-backed strategies for advocacy. Explore the roles of advocacy and activism: Gain a research and policy-informed understanding of approaches to advocacy and activism and how they can achieve equitable outcomes for young children and families. Explore the role of educational leaders in enacting advocacy and the strategies you can adopt. Examine case studies of advocacy: Review case studies of advocacy efforts for young children and families to gain a deeper understanding of how this plays out in practice across a diverse range of early childhood communities and settings.
