In this program, you will complete a program of core business and advanced hotel and tourism management subjects. Subjects involve extensive use of experiential learning through field trips, guest lecturers from industry leaders, work experience, and real-life projects.
The Master of International Hotel and Tourism Management program is designed for students seeking senior management roles, or wanting to own and operate their own business, within the hotel and tourism industries. Students will complete a program of core business and advanced hotel and tourism management subjects. These advanced subjects are designed to equip graduates with key capabilities expected of managers in the hotel and tourism sectors - including the ability to analyse complex information; develop strategies to identify and manage risk; build business resilience; embed sustainable practices into the business, and manage revenue. The program prepares students to think critically, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in senior management positions in an industry which is characterised by change and uncertainty.

A Tourism and Hotel Market Outlook 2021 report released by Deloitte, predicts that once the pandemic is under control, domestic overnight trips will increase by 14% in 2023, in comparison to 2019. Pent-up demand will likely stimulate strong demand for international travel in 2022 and beyond.
A degree in hotel and tourism management is a qualification accepted nationally, and internationally, by leading hotel and tourism industry employers. It will prepare you for professional roles in the tourism industry including hotels, resorts, airlines, restaurants, theme parks, cruise lines, destination marketing and management organisations, and with event management companies.

Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in any field with a minimum GPA requirement of 1 (on a 4-point scale where 1 = pass).
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
