This programme is designed for holders of Graduate Diplomas in the following Specialties: Critical Care鈥揑ntensive Care, Critical Care-Cardiovascular, Heart Failure Nursing, Paediatric Critical Care and Peri-Operative Nursing.
Programme aims
This exciting programme will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills in advanced health assessment of the critically ill patient. You will also get the opportunity to explore and address research questions that arise in your clinical practice.
Programme structure
The MSc Critical Care programme consists of two modules:
Autumn Trimester: NMHS 42960 Advanced Health Assessment, (10 credits)
Autumn & Spring Trimester: NMHS44020 Master鈥檚 dissertation: Evidence Synthesis and Translation (30 credits)
As part of the dissertation module, you will able to decide on the following Dissertation options.
1. Evidence translation project (implement change in practice)
2. Evidence synthesis project鈥� (extensive literature review)

Applicants must have completed a Graduate Diploma in one of the following specialities: Critical Care鈥揑ntensive Care, Critical Care-Cardiovascular, Heart Failure Nursing, Paediatric Critical Care and Peri-Operative Nursing.
IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version; A minimum score of 600 in the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), with Test of Written English at 475 +. In the computer based TOEFL, a minimum score of 250 is required. A minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (IBT).
