The programme offers computer science/IT-related courses to prepare SPM/O Level school leavers for progression to undergraduate studies. Upon completion of the programme, students may progress to bachelor's degree programmes in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, and Software Engineering.

Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Malaysian high school (i.e. SPM); O Level/IGCSE/equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government with minimum 5 Grade C(c), which must include English Language and specific subjects required by the Bachelor Degree that would be progress to thereafter.
International students must meet any one of the following English Language tests recognized by TAR UC as meeting the English Language requirement before they are accepted for admission to any of the TAR UC programmes.
IELTS (Academic): Band 4.0
TOEFL iBT: 31
MUET: Band 3.0
Pearson Test of English: 36
Cambridge English (Linguaskill): 140
Or any other qualification which is of equivalent level as determined by the Senate of TAR UC.
