Are you interested in improving the health and well-being of your community?

In this course, you will learn about Aotearoa鈥檚 health and well-being sector, then focus on gaining the knowledge and skills to become an effective community health worker. You'll learn how to work with people from diverse backgrounds, collaborate with your colleagues, and meet the needs of people with community service needs.

On Campus: You鈥檒l experience a unique combination of practical on-campus learning and flexible learning from home. This means you'll have the choice to work and study at the same time if you choose.

Online: You'll need to be working or volunteering with a registered healthcare provider to take advantage of our online study option. This will help you advance your skills while you continue to work, giving you the flexibility, tools and resources to learn anytime, anywhere at your own pace.

You'll also gain industry experience at a healthcare provider as part of your training.

• How to engage and communicate with Tangata, family and/or wh膩nau
• To apply knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• Reflection on the impacts of the wider health and wellbeing sectors
