The PGDipArts is an alternative to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours). You can choose from a wide range of Arts subjects and may be able to include a dissertation. This programme might be for you if you want to undertake advanced study without writing a dissertation, if honours degrees arent recognised in your country, or if you would like to study part-time over a longer period. As a postgraduate student you can study M膩ori language and literature, material culture, society and culture, politics, media and M膩ori development. M膩ori Studies staff have an exceptional record of research and publication. You will benefit from that legacy in our research-based teaching programmes and can contribute to it by your own work. Our students and staff actively contribute to M膩ori development by advancing M膩ori knowledge. We have a strong commitment to serving M膩ori communities.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
