The School of Science, Engineering & Mathematics helps students complete the science and math requirements needed to earn their CSN degree or certificate. This solid foundation gives our students the skills they need to go into many different disciplines, including healthcare, where our strong health science sequence provides informational prerequisites needed in many healthcare careers.

For students who plan to pursue a four-year degree elsewhere after graduation, our transfer pathway features associate degrees in Biological Science and Physical Science. The Physical Science degree can also be specialized to give students a direct pathway into different emphases ranging from chemistry to geology. Students who aren鈥檛 sure which science degree they intend to pursue later on, our general Associate of Science degree is a wise choice.

This program is designed to meet the growing need for environmental and natural resource technicians within the natural resource鈥檚 management areas. The program offers four core areas of emphasis including biology, chemistry, geology, and environmental science.

Illustrate the basic philosophy and procedures of the Scientific Method.

Describe and classify physical and chemical properties of matter.

Illustrate and interpret the organization and structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and their components.

Analyze data and perform dimensional and graphical analysis of collected data.
