The Ph.D. in Natural Resources Science is an interdisciplinary program that allows doctoral students the opportunity to specialize in a range of competencies. As a graduate student in the School of Natural Resources, you鈥檒l advance your research knowledge and prepare to become a leader in your chosen field. With the guidance and support of faculty mentors, you鈥檒l develop an advanced understanding of and appreciation for the principles of economics, stewardship and sustainability of our natural resources.
Students may choose an Area of Emphasis (AOE) in Forest Resources Management, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, Wood Science and Technology, and Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources.

To be eligible for admission into a graduate program at WVU an applicant must submit official, bachelors degree transcripts from a regionally accredited institution and hold a GPA of at least 2.75.
WVU鈥檚 minimum score requirements for English proficiency are:
