Activate Learning understands that caregiving can lead to increased expenses, such as higher travel costs, and may limit the ability to work part-time alongside receiving student finance.
You must be a Carer, defined as someone who provides care for a family member, partner, or friend with a physical or sensory disability, learning disability, medical condition, mental health issues, or addiction to drugs, alcohol, or gambling. These responsibilities are extra to the typical caring duties that a parent has for a dependent child.
You must be in receipt of a maintenance grant
You must be under 25 at the start of your course

To apply, use the online form and provide evidence from a professional person, who is aware of the family鈥檚 situation and your caring responsibility to adminHE@activatelearning.ac.uk. You can apply for both the HE Maintenance Bursary and the HE Care Leaver Bursary. Applying does not guarantee an award because funds are limited.
