Established close to 150 years ago, Indiana University Pennsylvania (IUP) has developed over the years to become a world-renowned yet highly affordable university. The university has over 8000 students on its rolls, studying more than 130 academic programs. IUP is recognized by many national organizations and publications, from the Washington Monthly to the Princeton Review. The university is also one among just 93 public colleges in the whole of the USA to be accorded a High Research Activity (R2) classification by the Carnegie Foundation. IUP is also accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, with many of the university鈥檚 academic departments and colleges having earned additional specialized accreditation or even national recognition.
